Cologne have finally signed a new deal with Dusseldorf-born Morocco international Adil Chihi. The 23-year-old has signed a new contract at RheinEnergie-Stadion, but the club have not confirmed the length of the contract. Reports claim the deal is set to run until the June of 2014, and Chihi is pleased to have committed his future. He told Cologne's official website: "I am very happy. I am proud to go on playing for Cologne in the future. "It was here where my career was started and I have to thank the club a lot. The club is doing the best to ensure a bright future and I am delighted to become a part of it." General manager Volker Finke said: "Adil Chihi has signed a new deal after a very turbulent season. "It's a true commitment to Cologne. Adil Chihi feels Cologne is best for his future. He is playing an important role in our first-team plans."
