Attacking midfielder poised to move from Brescia
Brescia have revealed that Lazio are in pole position to sign Panagiotis Kone.
Greek international midfielder Kone, who was born in Albania, joined Brescia from Iraklis last year for less than €1m, having started his career at AEK Athens.
Brescia president Gino Corioni says he is optimistic that a deal for the 23-year-old can be completed.
"He is a player who is of interest to a lot of clubs, but we already have an agreement with Lazio president Claudio Lotito," Corioni told
Radio Mana Mana.
"A lot depended on the sale of Stephan Lichtsteiner from Lazio to Juventus, so now we are waiting for an answer from Lotito.
"We're hopeful that the decisive call will arrive."
