Dutchman poised to join Russian club this week
Dutch midfielder Demy de Zeeuw expects to sign for Spartak Moscow from Ajax on a three-year deal in the coming days.
The two clubs are thought to have reached an agreement over the 28-year-old weeks ago and he is now poised to undergo a medical at the Russian side this week.
Reports in the Dutch media suggest the original transfer fee of €8million (£7.2m) has been lowered to €6million (£5.4m), while the difference will be added to the wage De Zeeuw receives in Moscow.
The Netherlands international said via his Twitter account: "Good morning, the next days I will have a medical test and if that will go well I will leave for three years to Spartak Moscow.
"Yesterday both sides have let me decide to choose Spartak and not to stay at Ajax."
