Former Liverpool keeper an option to replace Schmeichel
Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has confirmed former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek is an option to move to Elland Road.
Grayson recently signed Paul Rachubka on a free transfer from Blackpool, but remains keen to increase his goalkeeping options following the sale of Kasper Schmeichel to Leicester City.
Veteran shot-stopper Dudek has been linked with a move to the Championship club after his contract at Real Madrid expired.
Dudek is on Grayson's transfer radar, but the Whites boss acknowledged there are other options as he tries to improve his squad.
Waiting
"The big thing about this club is that it's well known and things get thrown at you all the time," said Grayson.
"He's on a list of players in that position who are available and might be a proposition. He's one of half-a-dozen who are on the radar.
"We've got two or three really good options and we're just waiting to make the right decision in terms of the player's ability and the finance package to go with it all."
Dudek spent six seasons with Liverpool before leaving for Real in 2007 and the Pole spent four years at the Santiago Bernabeu providing the back-up to Iker Casillas.
