Hibs boss gives trial to free agent striker

Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood has confirmed the club have brought in striker Junior Agogo on trial. The ex-Bristol Rovers and Nottingham Forest man is available on a free transfer after the expiration of his Apollon Limassol deal. Calderwood knows the marksman from his time at the City Ground and will give him games to impress in pre-season. Agogo could now feature in friendlies against Barnsley on Saturday and Falkirk on Tuesday in his bid to win an Easter Road deal. "He's here as a free agent and come in to train," stated Calderwood.

Involved

"I obviously know a lot about him and we hope to have him involved in one of the next two games, maybe even tomorrow. "He's a forward and one who has got a confidence about what he does. "He is not scared of any stage, so he is a good personality in terms of being able to get out and play on a Saturday." Former Celtic striker Cillian Sheridan remains with Hibs with a view to a loan move from CSKA Sofia, having scored in a friendly win over East Fife last weekend. "Cillian will start the game tomorrow," he continued. "We'll have a good look at him. "We are very positive about what we have seen. He knows we would like to try and do something."
