Twente go top of the Eredivisie after their latest convincing win

FC Twente and Vitesse Arnhem moved into first and second respectively in the Eredivisie after wins in their latest round of matches.

Twente were in a ruthless mood as they battered Heerenveen 5-1 move to the summit of the Eredivisie, while Arnhem stayed on their coattails with a 2-1 victory over Utrecht.

Goals from Luuk de Jong, Willem Jansen, Emir Bajrami and a Marc Janko brace were too much as the porous Heerenveen backline was easily breached. Luciano Narsingh netted a late consolation for the losers.

Bony Wilfried was the hero for Vitesse as he snatched all three points with a late goal to complete his brace and claim the win. He scored an early penalty before Jacob Mulenga levelled the scores. But there was nothing they could do to prevent him from conjuring the winner.
