Bah arrives on two-year deal; Peitz leaves on loan

Veteran Augsburg striker Michael Thurk will not be reintegrated into the playing squad after holding talks with club officials. The 35-year-old has been told he has no future with the Bundesliga outfit, but has always remained optimistic of a new opportunity. Thurk, though, recently held discussions with manager Jos Luhukay and general manager Andreas Rettig and there has been no U-turn. The striker told Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper: "We had a meeting with manager Jos Luhukay and general manager Andreas Rettig. I would have loved to return to the squad. "However, they insisted the reasons for their decision were just based on sporting aspects. I am no longer part of their plans. "I am not going to again try to prove their facts wrong. There is no use in that." Augsburg signed Gambia international Dawda Bah on a two-year contract on transfer deadline day, while Dominic Peitz was loaned to second division outfit Hansa Rostock.
