Winger given chance at Dutch club
Cameroonian winger Franck Songo'o is on trial at Heracles Almelo as he looks to win a contract, the Eredivisie side have confirmed.
He is currently without a club after leaving Spanish side Albacete at the end of last term.
The 24-year-old previously spent three seasons at Portsmouth, going out on loan at Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday.
Songo'o left Fratton Park in 2008 after a three-year stint and made the move to the Primera Liga with Real Zaragoza.
The once-capped Cameroon international will train with the Heraclieden this week in hope of earning a permanent deal at the Dutch club.
