Former Lyon midfielder Juninho has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to coach the club in the future.
The Brazilian playmaker left the Ligue 1 outfit in 2009 to join Qatari side Al-Gharafa.
Having spent two years in the Middle East, the 36-year-old returned to his homeland in May with Vasco da Gama.
He admits that he is still disappointed at the way in which he severed ties with Lyon and hopes he will get the chance to return to France once he hangs up his boots.
"When I left Lyon I was a little disappointed because I felt I still had more to give," Juninho told
L'Equipe.
"I felt almost forced to play out my last year. The chairman didn't kick me out, but there was a strange feeling.

"I had one year left on my contract and, apart from the fans, I felt like no-one wanted to keep me. It was difficult. If I had the support, maybe I could have stayed at Lyon until I was 39.
"I miss France a lot but I have turned the page. Now I am playing at Vasco and I am enjoying it. I think I will play one more season.
"I hope that one day I can be part of the coaching staff at Lyon. Why not? It is, however, too early to talk about such things.
"Remi Garde is a very good young coach and he needs time to get his ideas across.
"I like the example set by Leonardo. He did a great job in Milan as a player and coach. I love football and that is why I believe I will be a coach, even though it is not easy and there is always a lot of pressure."
