Experienced defender joins League Two strugglers

Former Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers defender Andy Todd has joined League Two strugglers Hereford United on a non-contract basis. Todd has been looking for a club since leaving Oldham Athletic over the summer after making six appearances for the Latics last season. The 37-year-old told skysports.com's Free Agent series in July that he felt capable of playing on for another season at either League One or Two level. He has recently been training with Port Vale, but has now secured a chance to play first-team football with divisional rivals Hereford. The centre-half is now in contention to make his debut for the Bulls in Saturday's game at home to Bradford City.
