Real Madrid have rejected reports that an offer had been tabled for Gremio midfielder Mario Fernandes.
Reports had suggested that Jose Mourinho was keen to secure the 21-year-old's services next month, with Spanish newspaper
Marca claiming a 15million euros bid would be tabled.
However, a Madrid statement read: "Given the information published about a supposed interest of our club to sign the player Mario Fernandes, Real Madrid CF denies that it has been in contact with his club and made an offer for the player's rights."
Fernandes, who has also been linked with Roma and CSKA Moscow, is contracted to his Brazilian club until 2014.
