Algerian grateful for support
A delighted Mohamed Chalali is desperate to build on his first goal for Aberdeen.
The Algerian forward headed the Dons' equaliser at Dundee United before Kari Arnason's dramatic late winner - and he is adamant this is just the start.
"One goal is nothing," Chalali told the club's
online TV channel. "I want to give more. I want to prove the coaches did not make a mistake when they signed me."
The 22-year-old has made three starts since joining from Greek side Panionios in the summer, with a further nine appearances from the bench, and he hailed the support he has received from the fans.
"When I was warming up the fans were singing my name," he said. "I felt I had to give something back for the confidence they gave me.
"When they sing your name it is because they want to push you to do well."
Craig Brown's men have now lost just once in their last six games and Chalali has urged his team-mates to repeat their late efforts at Tannadice.
"We must keep in our minds how we played in the last 20 minutes," he added. "How we have given everything to win the game. Some of the players cannot speak in the dressing room because they are that tired."
