Bundesliga strugglers Freiburg are on the verge of signing Denmark international Michael Lumb from Zenit St Petersburg.
Lumb has been unable to hold down a regular place in the Zenit side since moving to Russia a couple of years ago and has had loan spells elsewhere.
He is now expected to join Freiburg on loan until the end of the season and is relishing the challenge of trying to revive his career.
"As long as they play in the Bundesliga it is interesting." Lumb told
Sporten.dk.
"The Bundesliga is a big league and I regard it as one of the best in the world."
Lumb added: "Yes, the clubs are negotiating.
"I also know that the coach and the sports director are pleased."
