Japan midfielder to return home after contract is cancelled
Leicester midfielder Yuki Abe's contract has been cancelled by mutual consent so he can return to Japan.
The Japan international joined the Foxes from Urawa Red Diamonds in August 2010 and made 59 appearances during his time at the Championship club.
The 30-year-old is now set to return to his homeland to be closer to his young family.
He told Leicester's
official website: "My time in England has been a great experience and I am grateful for the support I have received from my team-mates, the staff at the club and the Leicester City fans.
"The biggest challenge has been the time I have spent away from my young family in Japan and they must be my priority.
"Leicester City is a great club with great supporters and I hope the team, under the manager's guidance, are able to achieve the success that the fans deserve."
