Werder Bremen have signed Zlatko Junuzovic from Austria Vienna for a reported £750,000.
The Austrian international was out of contract at Vienna in the summer, and the club decided to cash in on the midfielder rather than risk losing him on a free.
Junuzovic joins the North German club on a three-and-a-half year deal after passing a medical.
Junuzovic told
Kreiszeitung Syke newspaper: "I am very happy. This should be an important move with regard to my whole career.
"Werder Bremen is a very good club and Bundesliga is a very exciting competition. I am keen to impress."
His new manager Thomas Schaaf added: "He has not much time to settle at our club, but he is a good player.
"He will be getting his chances and we are looking forward to seeing him play for our club."
