Dundee United defender Robbie Neilson admits he would be keen to move abroad at the end of the season when his contract at Tannadice expires.
Neilson joined the Terrors last November after being released by Leicester City in the summer and has made 13 appearances for Peter Houston's side.
The 31-year-old's family still live in England and Neilson is hoping to either return south of the border or head to sunnier climes in search of his next club.
"I will wait and see what happens in the summer but there are not many three or four-year deals going around with the situation in football at the moment," said Neilson in the
Daily Record.

"I have not spoken to the manager about staying here but ideally I would like to go back down south.
"It is all right saying that though, it's about getting down there and a team you want to go to.
"It is not great living away from the family but I needed a chance to get back playing and am glad I took it.
"My wife would prefer to stay in England as she enjoys it there but I'd like to go abroad. She doesn't know that yet though!
"I want to try something different in a foreign country. I'd also like to get into coaching at some point and it would be good experience to have played elsewhere.
"I hope to play for three or four years more at the highest level but I would like to go somewhere sunny and warm."
