Veteran keeper eyeing a year-long extension of his deal

FC Twente goalkeeper Sander Boschker has revealed he wants to play on for another year after notching up his 550th appearance for the Eredivisie club. The 41-year-old has spent the majority of his career at boyhood side Twente and passed the milestone on Saturday, when Steve McClaren's men lost 2-0 at home to Feyenoord. Dutchman Boschker is out of contract in the summer but is not planning on hanging up his gloves for at least another season. He told Voetbal Primeur: "I would still like another year. "I have much ambition and I have also been injured this season. So I will not say goodbye. If I can, I'll sign one more time." Boschker, who made his Twente debut in November 1989, also spent a season as reserve keeper at Ajax in 2003-04.
