Former Swansea midfielder close to returning to training

Former Swansea star Ferrie Bodde is hopeful he will be ready to return to action for pre-season training and is looking for an English club, Sky Sports can reveal. Bodde has not played since early 2010 due to chronic knee problems, but he has now been given the all clear by his surgeons. The 30-year-old is hoping he can join an English side for pre-season training with the hope of winning a deal. Bodde is a free agent after leaving Swansea at the end of the season, after his previous  deal came to an end. "Ferrie has been given the all clear by the surgeon and he is already on a rehab course with his own physio," said his agent Frank Schouten. "We think he will be 100 per cent within a few months and we are talking with a number of clubs about the prospect of him coming over for pre-season training."
