Sky Sports understands Morecambe have offered highly-rated striker Paul Mullin a new deal just a month after signing him.

Mullin joined Morecambe in August on a short-term deal after leaving Huddersfield Town.

The 19-year-old has impressed since joining the Shrimps, scoring three goals in seven games to help Morecambe to third spot in League Two.

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley is a big fan of Mullin and sees him as key member of his squad going forward.

Morecambe have now moved to reward Mullin for his impressive progress by offering him a new long-term deal to keep him at the Globe Arena.
