Barcelona youngster Alen Halilovic says he is living the dream following his summer switch from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.
The 18-year-old, who completed a five-year deal at the Nou Camp in May, is a full international for Croatia but has initially started with Barcelona’s B team to aid his progression.
Halilovic has been named in the first-team squad for the Champions League, though, and is hoping to force a way into manager Luis Enrique’s thinking after a whirlwind first few months at the club.
"I’m enjoying it 100 per cent, I’m living my dreams. I can only say good words, the best words about Barcelona," he told Jutarnji list.
"I know that I have to show my worth in the B team but I’m in the main team for the Champions League and that is great news for me.
"This shows that they count on me. Now it’s up to me to work hard and to justify my transfer.
"All the guys are helping me, I already feel like I’m at home."
The highly-rated youngster has been likened to Lionel Messi in his style of play and Halilovic is full of admiration for his new team-mate.
"He’s the best, a great man. For me he will always be the best football player," he said.
"He is from another world. I’m so happy that I was able to train and to play with him for one month."
