Bundesliga: Goalkeeper Heinz Muller hails Bayern Munich's desire to win

Goalkeeper Heinz Muller says Bayern Munich have an obsession for success which he has never before seen having spent the last few months with the German champions.

Former Mainz goalkeeper Muller, 36, was drafted in by Bayern to provide cover for No 1 Manuel Neuer while both Pepe Reina and Tom Starke were out injured.

Reina is now fit again and Muller's short-term contract has ended, but he says he learned a lot from his short time at the club - probably his last playing role in football.

"Their success is no coincidence," he told the Bild newspaper. "The people who work there are purely successful people.

"I have rarely got to know so many success-obsessed people who are really nice people at the same time."

Muller was never called upon during his two months at the club with Neuer holding down his place in Pep Guardiola's starting XI, but he enjoyed every minute.

"Even every goal I conceded was enjoyable, given the circumstances," he added. "Although I conceded surprisingly few."
