Jonathan Douglas has signed a new deal at Brentford to keep him at Griffin Park until 2016.

The midfielder has committed his future to the Bees and will trigger a 12-month extension if he plays a certain amount of games next season.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton told the club's official site: "Dougie is a player who focuses on his football.

"The offer has been on the table for some time and he has played exceptionally well for us with a very good level of consistency.

"He is enjoying his football and everyone is delighted he has signed as we move in to the final stretch of the season.

"We were never worried about whether Dougie would sign.

"He was focused on delivering consistent performances, maintaining his level."

Douglas signed for Brentford in June 2011 after leaving Swindon having spent two years in Wiltshire.
