Tom Flanagan has signed for Burton after having his contract at MK Dons terminated by mutual consent.

Flanagan, an academy product and former under-18 captain at the Milton Keynes club, only signed a new one-year deal this summer following the Dons' promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

The 23-year-old spent some of the close season training with League 1 newcomers Burton and has now put pen to paper on an initial one-year contract, with the option for a second year, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's team.

Flanagan made his debut for the Dons as an 18-year-old in February 2010. He made his breakthrough into the first team during the 2011/12 campaign when he featured 25 times and helped Karl Robinson's side reach the League One play-offs for the second successive season.
