Cardiff City have signed former West Brom, Doncaster and Watford defender Gabriel Tamas on a one-year contract.
The 31-year-old has joined the Bluebirds until the end of June following a successful trial spell with the Sky Bet Championship club.
Gabriel, who has made 65 appearances for Romania, put pen to paper with Cardiff after completing his medical and paperwork on Wednesday.
He told the club's official website: "I wanted to return to English football and out of a few offers, decided that Cardiff City was the Club I wanted to come to.
"I've met up with the manager and a few of the boys who I remember playing against during my time in the UK. I'm looking forward to training with the boys and getting out there."
Tamas joined Steaua Bucharest for the second half of last season after departing Watford in January and his previous clubs also include Dinamo Bucharest, Galatasaray, Spartak Moscow and Auxerre.
