Hull have signed Norway international Adama Diomande from Stabaek for an undisclosed fee.

The striker has signed a three-year deal, having completed a medical in his home country, and will join up with Steve Bruce's squad during the international break.

Diomande, who will reportedly cost the Tigers £1.7m, scored 17 goals in 21 appearances this season helping his side to second place in the Norwegian top flight.

The 25-year-old's performances saw him win a first call up to the national squad in June when he made his debut as a substitute in a 0-0 draw with Azerbaijan.

Diomande has played for Dinamo Minsk and was a member of the Stromsgodset side that won the Norwegian title in 2013.

He is Bruce's sixth signing following Sam Clucas, Shaun Maloney, Ryan Taylor, Moses Odubajo, Isaac Hayden and Chuba Akpom.
