Saturday's postponed matches: Football League games

Several Football League matches were postponed on Saturday due to the bad weather in the north of England.

Bradford's League One clash at home to Southend fell victim to the weather, with the Bantams tweeting: "Unfortunately the sheer volume of water from the persistent heavy rain showers today has left the pitch unplayable."

In the same division, referee Scott Duncan called off Fleetwood's clash with Walsall due to a waterlogged surface. Cod Army boss Steven Pressley told the club's official website: "The referee has made the right decision for a number of reasons, the ball wasn't even rolling in certain areas of the pitch."

The heavy rainfall and forecast for the rest of the day at Oldham's Boundary Park also resulted in a wasted trip north for Millwall.

In League Two, Accrington apologised to Wycombe fans after the rain forced referee Paul Tierney to call off the clash at the Wham Stadium, and at the Globe Arena, Morecambe's encounter with Exeter was also a casualty of the fixture programme.
