Partick's Adam Barton is October's Premiership Player of the Month

Partick Thistle midfielder Adam Barton has been named Scottish Premiership Player of the Month for October.

The 25-year-old has impressed for Alan Archibald's side as they climbed off the foot of the table to eighth place.

Although he has been primarily used in a midfield role, Barton has been deployed at the heart of the Thistle defence.

Partick Thistle midfielder Adam Barton says he is delighted to win the Scottish Premiership Player of the Month award.

Barton played in four of the five league matches in which the Jags recorded two victories and two draws.
