FIFA have confirmed former president Sepp Blatter has been asked to hand back his chauffeur-driven Mercedes.

Blatter had continued to have the £80,000 car and driver at his disposal while he tried to overturn his ban from football at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

That appeal failed two weeks ago when CAS upheld his six-year ban for authorising a £1.5 million payment to Michel Platini in 2011.

Blatter, who worked at FIFA for 40 years and was president for 17 years, has been told to return the car by the end of this week.
