Italy

Representatives from Manchester United met with Napoli's 29-year-old winger Dries Mertens to discuss a potential summer move. Mertens' current contract runs until the end of next season, but the Belgium international has yet to agree an extension. (Il Mattino)

Italian champions Juventus have met with the agent of Emre Can, Reza Fazeli. The 23-year-old is unhappy at a lack of game time at Anfield, and could be moved on at the end of the season by Jurgen Klopp. (Calciomercato)

Meanwhile, the Old Lady have cooled their interest in Adrien Rabiot following Paris Saint-Germain's 6-1 capitulation at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night. (Calciomercato)

AC Milan want to sign Gerard Deulofeu on a permanent deal in the summer. The Spaniard has impressed the Rossoneri's management since moving on loan from Everton in January. (Calciomercato)

Keita Balde, a target of Manchester United and Juventus, is set to be fined by Lazio after turning up 30 minutes late for training. The Senegalese forward is thought to be unhappy at the Biancocelesti, with the player's agent putting a halt on new contract negotiations. (Il Messaggero)

Unai Emery's job at Paris Saint-Germain is safe, despite his side's humiliation at the hands of Barcelona in the second-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, in which the French champions surrendered a 4-0 first-leg lead. (AS)

Barcelona were scouting Hector Bellerin during Arsenal's 5-1 hammering by Bayern Munich on Tuesday night. The La Liga side are interested in the Spaniard - a former Barca academy product - as a long-term solution to their full-back problem. (Marca)

European champions Real Madrid are plotting a surprise move for Liverpool's 19-year-old defender Joe Gomez. The England under-21 international can play at centre-back as well as full-back, and it is thought Real manager Zinedine Zidane is a fan of the youngster, despite having hardly featured for the club. Ivan Rakitic is set to sign a new deal with Barcelona, extending the Croatian's stay at the Nou Camp until 2021. The 29-year-old had been linked with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window. (AS)

Germany

Bayern Munich's midfielder Douglas Costa is unhappy at the Allianz Arena and may seek a move away in the summer. The 26-year-old is not a regular starter under Carlo Ancelotti and was recently linked with Barcelona. (Sport Bild)

Retired Spanish striker Raul would return to Schalke 04 as a manager if an opportunity arose in the future. The former Real Madrid man spent two seasons with the Bundesliga side, scoring 28 goals. (Sport Bild)

Dimitri Payet was desperate to leave West Ham United as he 'got bored' and was worried that his career would start to go backwards, the player has said in an interview. (L'Equipe)

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti "isn't going anywhere this year", according to the club's sporting director. The 24-year-old had previously been linked with a host of top European clubs, including Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid. (Le10Sport)

Portugal

Southampton's 25-year-old defender Cedric Soares is another full-back interesting Barcelona. The Portugal international signed for the Saints in 2015, with any deal likely to be in the region of £25million. (A Bola)

Luisao is set to sign a new contract with Benfica, extending his stay at the Estadio da Luz by another year, but the 36-year-old Brazilian may still leave the club in the summer. (Record)
