US Women’s National Team striker Alex Morgan smashed a hat-trick in Lyon’s 6-0 cup win over Rodez on Sunday to open her goalscoring account for her new club in style.
Morgan's treble helped eight-time cup winners Lyon ease into the semi-finals of the Coupe de France Feminine.
The Californian joined the team in December and will move back to American side Orlando Pride in June, although she has an option to extend her stay at Lyon for another season.
Morgan has scored 73 goals in 120 appearances for the US Women's National Team.
She won Olympic gold at the 2012 London Games before helping the US become claim a third World Cup title in 2015.
