Soccer Saturday Super 6 jackpot agony thanks to goalless Manchester United draw
Saturday 1 April 2017 21:20, UK
Richard Dorey was just one agonising Manchester United goal away from the landing the £1m Soccer Saturday Super 6 jackpot this weekend.
Richard correctly predicted the five other results in the free-to-play Soccer Saturday Super 6 game but he came unstuck as Jose Mourinho's men drew 0-0 at home to West Brom.
A 1-0 win for United was required for him to win the jackpot, but to ease the pain slightly, he has been awarded £1,000 for his efforts after the £10,000 consolation prize went to Damien O'Connell, who also predicted five correct results and only failed with Crystal Palace's shock 2-1 win at Chelsea.
Damien took the consolation prize because he was closest with his golden goal prediction.
Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling said: "It's not £1m but Richard deserves something for his efforts. Well played mate."
Saturday's Super 6 results:
Burnley 0-2 Tottenham
Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace
Hull 2-1 West Ham
Leicester 2-0 Stoke
Manchester United 0-0 West Brom
Watford 1-0 Sunderland
Entries are open for the next Super 6 round on Tuesday night with a top prize of £250,000 up for grabs.
Three matches are picked from the Premier League and three contests are in the Sky Bet Championship, all starting at 7.45pm.
