A crucial game followed for Liverpool, and Redknapp and Souness watched on as their former club claimed a valuable 4-0 win against West Ham at the London Stadium.
Victory for Liverpool means their Champions League fate remains in their own hands, while Manchester United's slim hopes of a top-four finish were dashed when they lost 2-1 at Tottenham.
Spurs ended their final Premier League season at White Hart Lane in style, ending their league campaign unbeaten at home as they say goodbye to their famous stadium home of 118 years.
