World champion Youri Djorkaeff and former Chelsea defender Paulo Ferreira have become the latest Star Sixes recruits.
Between them they have won almost everything in the game, and now both Djorkaeff and Ferreira are looking to add another honour to their collection - a Star Sixes winner's medal.
The former Premier League duo lead the latest group of international legends unveiled for the inaugural Star Sixes tournament at The O2, London, July 13 to 16.
Attacking midfielder Djorkaeff, a star at Monaco and Bolton Wanderers, played 82 times for France, scoring 28 times, and was part of their successful World Cup and European Championship-winning squads. He also lifted the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Cup while at Monaco.
He becomes the eighth member of Robert Pires' France team for Star Sixes, who kick off their Group C fixtures against Michael Ballack's Germany on Thursday July 13.
Ferreira, meanwhile, is one of three new signings for Deco's Portugal side, along with ex-Tottenham Hotspur forward Helder Postiga and former Fulham and Arsenal striker Luis Boa Morte.
The ex-Chelsea defender earned 62 caps for his country, while also picking up Champions Leagues with both the Blues and Porto, as well as Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League titles while in London.
Portugal's opening night match is against Denmark, before they meet France and wrap up their group games against Germany.
China have also been busy, and the Group B side, who will face Brazil, Nigeria and Italy, have announced their full ten-man squad.
With 53 caps and 11 goals for China, midfielder Peng Weiguo is one of their star names. Known as 'The King of Yuexiushan' during the height of his playing career, he won his international debut in 1992 and played in the 1992 and 1996 AFC Asian Cups.
Wieguo's younger brother, Peng Weijun, is also in the squad. He is famous for scoring the fastest goal in Chinese football history while playing for Qingdao Jonoon.
Their frontline will be spearheaded by Xia Yao, who earned the nickname 'Cheetah' in his early years thanks to his speed and quick feet. He made his debut for China in 1993, where he quickly established himself as a regular with 28 caps and four goals.
In goal will be Fu Bin, who helped his hometown team, Beijing Guoan, win two Chinese FA Cup titles and won seven caps for China before retiring aged 40 in 2009 as the oldest professional Chinese player. Also in the squad will be Liang Jianfeng, Jiang Feng, Wei Qun, Liu Cheng, Chen Yongqiang and Hu Zhijun.
Their first Star Sixes encounter is against Jay-Jay Okocha's Nigeria on July 13.
Star Sixes promises spectacular action at London's O2 Arena, with other big names including Carles Puyol of Spain, Italy's Alessandro Del Piero, Brazil's Rivaldo and England captain Steven Gerrard among a galaxy of stars on show.
Tickets for the inaugural Star Sixes, starting at £30 adults and £10 U16s, are on sale at www.starsixes.com
