Jamie O'Hara has been fined £400 after pleading guilty to a charge of common assault against a teenage football supporter.

Former England U21 international O'Hara was charged in October over an incident at the end of an Isthmian League game between his side Billericay Town and Leatherhead in April.

The 31-year-old, who numbers Tottenham and Wolves among his former clubs, was alleged to have reacted to chants directed at him at the end of Leatherhead's 3-2 victory at their Fetcham Grove home.

After making his guilty plea, O'Hara was told to pay a £400 fine plus a further £175 in court costs and compensation to the victim.

The big-spending Essex club, owned and managed by businessman Glenn Tamplin, also fined O'Hara two weeks wages in the immediate aftermath of the clash.
