From Sheffield United's promotion push to QPR's dismal run, we pick out five stats from the weekend's action in the Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two.

Blades stay sharp in promotion race

Sheffield United's 1-0 win at fellow promotion hopefuls West Brom on Saturday night maintained their excellent run of form since Christmas.

Chris Wilder's side have won 26 points since Boxing Day, four more than any other Championship side over that period.

The Blades are also unbeaten in their last six Championship games since a 1-0 defeat at Swansea on January 19 - their best unbeaten run in the second tier since seven games without defeat, Nov-Dec 2009.

Benrahma gets Bees buzzing

Brentford recorded their biggest win since August with their 5-1 win against Hull at Griffin Park on Saturday, thanks largely to Said Benrahma.

The 23-year-old Algerian scored The Bees' first hat-trick in two years and registered another assist to take his total of Championship goal involvements in 2019 to 12 - the most by any player since the turn of the year.

Adams in fine form

Che Adams scored twice in Birmingham's 2-2 home draw against Blackburn on Saturday. The 22-year-old has scored 10 goals in his eight Championship appearances in 2019 - two more than any other player since the turn of the year.

He has scored 21 Championship goals this season and has become the first Birmingham player to score more than 20 league goals in a season since Steve Claridge scored 20 in what was then Division 2 in 1994-95.

In fact, Adams is the first player to score more than 20 goals in a league season for Birmingham since Trevor Francis scored 25 in the top tier in 1977-78.

Record-breaking QPR... and not in a good way

Following their 2-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on Saturday, QPR have lost their last seven league games - the worst current run of any side in the top four tiers.

It is QPR's worst run in the league for 23 years, since losing seven consecutive games in the Premier League, Dec 1995-Feb 1996. The team were relegated at the end of that season.

Unstoppable Luton

Luton's draw against Coventry on Sunday extended their unbeaten run in League 1 to 21 games (W16 D5) since a 3-2 defeat at Barnsley on Oct 13.

The Hatters' current unbeaten run is the best by any team in the top four tiers of English football this season.

Goal-shy Port Vale

Port Vale's 1-0 defeat at Cheltenham on Saturday was their fourth defeat in a row and the eighth time in their last 12 League Two games they have failed to score.

The Valiants have scored just one goal in their last six league games and have scored three league goals in 2019 - two fewer than any other club in the EFL.
