Tranmere vs Bury preview
Monday 29 April 2019 14:54, UK
Tranmere prepare for their rearranged Sky Bet League Two clash with Bury still reeling from the news defender Mark Ellis is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
A waterlogged pitch at Prenton Park at the weekend meant the fixture was moved to Tuesday night, when Tranmere will be without centre-back Ellis, who limped out of the 1-0 defeat to Forest Green on Good Friday, with tests showing he has damaged cruciate knee ligaments.
Fellow defender Luke McCullough (knee) remains absent with a similar injury while forward Ishmael Miller (hamstring) will not play again this season despite returning to training earlier this month.
Tranmere are already assured of at least a play-off spot with two games left to play.
Bury lie second in the table and could clinch promotion on Tuesday.
Byron Moore is among those vying for a starting spot after coming off the bench in Monday's 3-1 victory over Northampton.
Top scorer Nicky Maynard was on target last time out and is likely to lead the line again.
Bury will be hoping to end their three-match winless streak in away games.
