Allardyce praises backline
Early goals from Kevin Davies and Stelios Giannakopoulos put the visitors in firm control, leaving the Lancashire side free to see out of the remainder of the game.
One could forgive the Reebok Stadium outfit for leaking in goals of late, following Emerson Thome's injury coupled with Florent Laville's knock, however The Trotters have held firm.
"I think three games ago, with Emerson going down injured, Laville out injured, it was looking desperate defensively," explained Allardyce.
"We've thrown together the back four, who have produced three results. We've converted two of the three into wins and a draw.
"We've not been at our best, but we've won and I'm delighted.
"We knocked the stuffing out of them. To be fair we've done our job, we've got our goals then we've got eight or nine players behind the ball.
"Any match away from home is difficult. We felt that if we don't give an early opportunity then we will score.
"When our first opportunity came, we put it in the back of the next. After the second we felt it was game over."
Ivan Campo has not always enjoyed a successful time in The Premiership, but Allardyce was delighted with his display at Elland Road.
"Life as a centre back for Ivan has not always been easy, due to the level of the pace, but his skills mean that when we move him in front, he really knows the game," he added.
"He impressed not only in attack, but also in defence. He controlled Viduka very well."
