Espanyol target keen on a move to Spain
Espanyol target Jonathan De Guzman still hopes to secure a Bosman move to La Liga this summer.
The 22-year old attacking midfielder refused to sign a new deal at Feyenoord as he is looking for a new challenge.
Despite being linked to clubs such as PSV, Hamburg and CSKA Moscow, the player wants to follow in the foot-steps of his older brother Julian - who played for Deportivo for four seasons until 2009 - and move to La Liga.
The Dutch Under-23 player was linked with Valencia last term and then visited Espanyol last week but a deal has not been agreed so far.
His agent Jan de Visser told
Algemeen Dagblad: "It was a good meeting, nothing has been signed but also nothing has been refused.
"We won't say anything more about the negotiations or interest from other clubs."
