Dutch winger shrugs off Juventus speculation

Reported Juventus target Eljero Elia insists he wants to stay at Hamburg next term. The 23-year-old winger, who is currently on World Cup duty with Holland, has attracted interest after netting five times in the Bundesliga last term. While Juve have reportedly been lining up a bid for the winger, Elia said he "knows nothing" about any interest from the Serie A club. Instead the winger, who moved to Hamburg on a five-year deal last summer from Dutch side Twente for a fee in the region of €9million (£7.7m), insists he wants to stay with the Bundesliga outfit. Elia told the Bild newspaper: "I will be playing for Hamburg next season. "I am not finished at HSV by a long way." But for the moment, he is simply concentrating on performing well for Holland in South Africa. "Being involved in the World Cup makes me the happiest person in the world," he added. "I hope that I get to play in South Africa and then I will show the world what I am capable of."
