Brann midfielder airlifted to hospital after collapsing during game

Brann midfielder Carl-Erik Torp suffered a suspected heart attack towards the end of Sunday's Tippeligaen clash with Sogndal, according to reports in Norway. Torp, 27, collapsed shortly after coming on as a substitute and was airlifted to hospital. "Torp has been transported by air ambulance to Haukeland," Brann doctor Asle Kjeldsen told state broadcaster NRK's website. "He suffered a cardiac arrest. We cannot say anything more yet other than that right now he is stable and doing well. "We got him going again and he is in good hands. "We used a defibrillator and CPR on the way off the pitch. When he was taken off by air ambulance, he was stable and conscious."
