Lazio's Edy Reja has performed a shock turnaround after returning to the post after apparently resigning from his job.
Serie A club aim for third place after managerial turmoil
Lazio manager Edy Reja has now decided to stay in his post after trying to resign from his job.
Reja tried to tender his resignation on the eve of Lazio's Europa League clash with Atletico Madrid which left the Rome-based club in chaos.
Reja, however, has decided to remain in the post after a heart-to-heart with the club's president Claudio Lotito.
"I will stay here and my adventure continues," he said.
"My adventure here will continue and the president has given me assurances not just for now but also for the future.
"Now we can continue to move forward and our aim is to achieve third place."
