Chelsea’s Under-19 side have won the UEFA Youth League final with a 3-2 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in Nyon.
Isaiah Brown scored twice and Dominic Solanke nodded home the other for the Blues, who held on despite the Ukrainian side scoring a late goal to set up a nervous finish.
Chelsea saw off Roma 4-0 in the semi-final, and were ahead after seven minutes through Brown, who slotted past goalkeeper Oleh Kudryk from 12 yards.
Shakhtar rallied and were level through an own goal by Andreas Christensen, turning the ball past Bradley Collins after a fine counter-attacking move.
After the break, Chelsea regained the lead through Solanke, finishing after finding some space in the penalty area from Jeremie Boga’s cross.
Eight minutes later, Chelsea were 3-1 ahead through Brown, who benefited from more fine play from Frenchman Boga to finish in the far corner with a low strike.
Shakhtar produced a grandstand finish in stoppage time through Viktor Kovalenko’s neat goal, but Chelsea held on to take the trophy from Barcelona, who beat Benfica in the inaugural competition’s final last season.
