All Italian games were called off after
Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini died following a suspected heart attack during the Serie B match at Pescara on Saturday.
The 25-year-old collapsed suddenly in the first half of the game, leading to the match being abandoned and the remainder of the weekend's games in Italy were subsequently postponed.
Primera Liga
Real Madrid heaped the pressure on Barcelona by recovering from a goal down against Sporting Gijon on Saturday to win 3-1 and briefly extend their lead to seven points at the top of the table.
But Barcelona responded with a comeback of their own, winning 2-1 at Levante thanks to two Lionel Messi goals - his 62nd and 63rd of the season.
One goal wins for Athletic Bilbao, Atletico Madrid and an emphatic 4-0 home win for Espanyol against Valencia mean there are still 10 teams with a legitimate chance of UEFA Champions League football next season.

Bayern Munich could only manage a goalless draw at home to Mainz to leave Dortmund eight points clear at the top with just three matches remaining.
Borussia Monchengladbach's 3-0 win over rivals Cologne virtually guaranteed their Champions League spot for next season, while pushing their opponents closer to the relegation trapdoor.
Ligue 1
Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier slumped to a shock defeat at Lorient on Sunday, but Paris St Germain could not capitalise.
Montpellier went two goals down after a Henri Bedimo own goal and effort from substitute Joel Campbell.
Olivier Giroud pulled a goal back for the Ligue 1 pacesetters but they could not get back into the game.
But second-placed Paris St Germain missed the chance to draw level at the top after being held to a 1-1 draw at bottom side Auxerre.
Nene put Carlo Ancelotti's side ahead in the 23rd minute but Auxerre substitute Anthony Le Tallec netted an equaliser with four minutes remaining to snatch a point.
