Santi Cazorla: Arsenal must maintain standards

Santi Cazorla says Arsenal must not let their standards drop if they are to challenge for the Premier League title.

Successive 3-0 victories over Manchester United and - on Saturday - Watford, have given them real momentum, with Arsene Wenger's team second in the table.

It took an hour, though, for the Hornets' battling resistance to finally be broken when the in-form Alexis Sanchez swept home following a swift counter-attack.

Arsenal put the match beyond the hosts when substitute Oliver Giroud doubled their lead on 68 minutes, and Aaron Ramsey then stabbed in a third.

Arsene Wenger's squad have little time to refocus before they return to Champions League action against the Bundesliga giants, who look in imperious form both in Germany and Europe. Then they take on Everton at home in the Premier League.

Cazorla told Arsenal's official website: "I was a difficult game and a very good win for us. We are second in the league and we need to keep the play at the same level.

"[Watford] played the long ball and they have very good and strong players in front of them, but we came together and it is very important for us to beat these teams and we are very proud of the team.

"We played against Manchester United last time and it is a different game. They have very good players but today it was physical and with the team it is the most important thing to play well. We need to keep this level for the future."

And the Spaniard says that there is no question what their ambition is this season.
