France midfielder wants Ben Arfa call-up

Yohan Cabaye believes Newcastle's successful season has proved the doubters wrong and justified his summer move. The 26-year-old left French champions Lille in June - sacrificing Champions League football in the process - but has no regrets about his decision. In fact, the France international midfielder is now eyeing the prospect of a Champions League adventure with Newcastle instead. Cabaye told reporters in France: "It's the best league in the world for me (the Premier League). There are no easy games and the tempo is very high. I'm progressing and I've no regrets. "We've had a great season. Now people are saying Newcastle was the right choice because we're fourth or fifth in the table and we're going to play in Europe. "People weren't saying that when I left. "I knew it was the right choice because I was going to play. "There are still five games to go and we need to go out and get what we want - and why not a Champions League place?" Cabaye is also hopeful his Newcastle team-mate Hatem Ben Arfa can force his way back into the France squad in time for this summer's European Championship. He added: "I really hope he'll be in the 23 for Euro 2012. It's not my decision, but if it was I'd take him."
