West Bromwich Albion have snapped up Macedonia international Goran Popov from Ukrainian club Dynamo Kiev on a season-long loan.

West Bromwich Albion have snapped up Macedonia international Goran Popov from Ukrainian club Dynamo Kiev on a season-long loan.
The left-back, 27, has joined the Baggies with a view to a permanent move after being granted a work permit on Friday afternoon.
Popov has sacrificed the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League for Kiev to try his luck in England instead
However, he will not be eligible for Saturday's clash against Premier League rivals Everton at the Hawthorns.
Competition
"I've said many times over the past few weeks that we've been looking to bring in one more defender and I'm delighted we've managed to sign Goran," said Albion head coach Steve Clarke.
Popov, who is Clarke's sixth summer signing, will provide competition for Liam Ridgewell after fellow left-backs Nicky Shorey and Joe Mattock were released at the end of last season.
Clarke added: "We allowed two left-backs to leave at the end of last season so it's very pleasing we've got another naturally left-sided player within the group to give us more balance.
"We've now got good competition for places in all areas of the squad."
