Steven Gerrard joined the Saturday Night Football team before heading off into the changing room ahead of his last game for Liverpool at Anfield.
The midfielder said his farewell to the Kop in the Reds' clash with Crystal Palace, after a 17-year senior career at Liverpool.
“I’m ok," he said ahead of the game. "It’s been a busy and there’s been a lot of attention on myself but now it’s down to the team. We need to try and get three points and have a good send off.
“All I can ask for is three points. Obviously everyone in this stadium knows that I’ll be trying to get on the scoresheet. That’ll be a nice bonus.”
And when asked who is on penalty duty for Liverpool, he responded: “Me.”
