As Man City unveil their new third kit for the 2015/16 season, we take a look at the other alternative strips clubs have when their home and away outfits just won't do...

Arsenal

Reminiscent of famous blue kits throughout the club's history, most notably the away kit adorned during the 2011/12 season, Arsenal's new strip features three tones of blue, with gold accents.

The Cherries have adopted this Rose-coloured number this term, and actually wore the kit in their last Premier League fixture. It failed to inspire Eddie Howe's side as they lost 3-1 away to Norwich City on Saturday.

Chelsea

Chelsea have struggled to taste success in any of their kits so far this season after a stuttering start to the defence of their Premier League crown. But the Blues did manage to claim their only league victory to date in this black number, with Jose Mourinho's men winning 3-2 at West Brom in August. Can they wear this every week?

Everton

Green? Olive? Call it what you want, this kit certainly had Southampton scratching their heads when the Toffees travelled down to the south coast in August. Roberto Martinez's side ran out 3-0 victors that day and they'll be hoping for similar results when this unconventional kit sees the light of day again.

Leicester

The Foxes' third kit combines the club's famous blue and white colours in reverse. The easy-on-the-eye number, which was worn in Leicester's 2-1 win at West Ham in August, features a buttoned collar with blue crest and logos.

Liverpool

Liverpool have gone with a minimal all-black kit third kit this season. While it may be a little understated, this just goes to show how simplicity cannot be beaten when things are done well. The Reds have enjoyed some success in black so far this season, with victory at Stoke and a point away to Arsenal gained in this number.

Man City

If you were having difficulty spotting Kevin De Bruyne before you'll have no problem picking him, or his City team-mates, out when this is fluorescent number is worn. Their new third kit consists of a neon green shirt with a striking black gradient in contrast.

United unveiled their third kit along with six of "the leading dynasties of European football" in adidas' 'spark the night' campaign. The third kit, which was worn for the first time against PSV in the Champions League, has been designed with neon red accents in reference to the numerous glorious European nights at Old Trafford.

Newcastle

Newcastle's navy third strip features striking pink and white diagonal stripes and further pink details throughout. It has already made its debut in the Magpies' 2-0 defeat at Swansea.

Norwich

Perhaps Norwich's third kit has been designed to baffle the opposition. Vibrant multi-coloured hoops feature the club's famous yellow and green colours, with an added splash of amber, will have many rubbing their eyes when the Canaries pull it on. If that doesn't, then the pink accent on the goalkeeper kit certainly will!

Tottenham

Unveiled during their pre-season friendly with Real Madrid at the Audi Cup, Spurs' purple third kit doesn't stray too far from the design on their home and away strips. And Mauricio Pochettino's side clearly fell comfortable in it, as they claimed their first win of the season in it away to Sunderland on Sunday.

West Ham

With West Ham embarking on their final year at Upton Park, all of this season’s kits have been developed with classic simplicity in mind. This third kit follows that trend, with a simple dark blue base adopted with white piping.
