All the latest Man Utd transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Tuesday, July 25.
Cristiano Ronaldo has given his clearest indication yet that he will remain at Real Madrid.
The United fan-favourite opened the door to a return to Old Trafford earlier this summer after an investigation into his tax affairs left him "upset" and wanting to leave Spain.
However, having had time to weigh up his options, it appears the Portugal international has no problem staying in Madrid.
"Winning major trophies with my club last year was great, just like the individual trophies," Ronaldo is quoted by Marca. "Doing it again would be fine.
"You have to work hard, year after year, I will continue to do it. Football is my life, it is my passion."
Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti, meanwhile, has admitted there is "a possibility" Renato Sanches could join Manchester United this summer.
Having narrowly missed out on signing the Portugal international last summer, United have re-emerged as potential suitors for Sanches after he struggled to adapt to life at Bayern.
The Independent carry quotes from Ancelotti, who says: "At this time, Sanches is training with us. We have to make a decision.
"A move could be a possibility but there is also a chance he could stay with us for the season."
Sticking with The Independent and their Chief football writer Miguel Delaney claims Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti is interested in a move to Old Trafford.
The Italy international reportedly wants to leave PSG for Barcelona, but Delaney claims he would consider a move elsewhere.
Verratti's recent switch of agent to Mino Raiola - the man who brokered moves for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitrayan and Paul Pogba to Old Trafford - could play a role in which club lands the midfielder.
