Vidic has no Delap worries

Nemanja Vidic is not worried about Rory Delap's throw-ins ahead of Manchester United's clash with Stoke.

Defender believes United must play their own game

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic insists he is not worried about the aerial bombardment he is about to face in the shape of Rory Delap's powerful throw-ins. Delap's missiles proved the un-doing of fellow title-rivals Arsenal two weeks ago but Vidic is unconcerned ahead of the Red Devils' clash with the Potters at Old Trafford on Saturday. While Vidic admits he has never faced anything quite like the Delap throw-in throughout his career, he says United have prepared for the threat in training. He also believes United must concentrate on their own game rather than worry about anything Delap will throw at them. He said: "I have never come across anything like this.

Practised

"The guy can throw the ball 40 metres. It is something we have had to think about, which is why we have practised them in training." "There is no point getting worried about it. We are at home and we are making chances in every game. We just need to score. "If we are right, that is what counts, not Stoke. "We need to keep the ball down, make chances and score early goals. That will change the game and give us more space to play."
